eLearning or Distance learning 

eLearning or Distance learning created a revolution in the method of learning a subject. Normally we would buy a book and read and understand. But attending a class over the internet is medium introduced many years back and it is still booming industry. The main aspect of the distance learning is 

1. Internet Classrooms
2. Test Authoring.

Internet classrooms means that a person logs on to the service providers site and reads the contents on the subject. Chat tools are so prevalent that any kind of doubt can be cleared on the spot by the distance teacher on a chat session. In addition to the normal chat, there is also a white board which bring interactivity between the student. When the distance teacher draws a diagram on the white board, it is directly relayed on to the students screen. 

There are various eLearning portals available where the courses can be hosted and then allow paid attendance of these courses.

Black board & WebCT  provides facility to upload a course cartridge on to the  server. BlackBoard (TM) would open  the cartridge and create a course tree. This course tree would contain quiz on the particular topics and there would be marking for each students. The tutor opens the course at a particular time is available during that period. The course material can be accessed at other times of the administrator so permits.
